g.region

Ein sehr wichtiger Befehl, der es dem Benutzer erlaubt, die gesetzte Auflösung sowie die Grenzen der Region zu verändern.


 g.region [-dgpu] [region=name] [raster=name] [vector=name]
   [sites=name] [3dview=name] [n=value] [s=value] [e=value] [w=value]
   [res=value] [nsres=value] [ewres=value] [zoom=name] [align=name]
   [save=name]

Flags:
  -d   Set from default region
  -g   Print the current region (shell script style)
  -p   Print the current region
  -u   Do not update the current region

Parameters:
  region   Set current region from named region
  raster   Set region to match this raster map
  vector   Set region to match this vector map
   sites   Set region to match this sites map
  3dview   Set region to match this 3dview file
       n   Value for the northern edge
       s   Value for the southern edge
       e   Value for the eastern edge 
       w   Value for the western edge 
     res   Grid resolution (both north-south and east-west)
   nsres   North-south grid resolution
   ewres   East-west grid resolution  
    zoom   Raster map to zoom into
   align   Raster map to align to
    save   Name the current region
